Ylläs fell is set to become the greatest ski resort in Lapland.
Lapland is also the true home of Santa Claus and you can visit ( in December) this famous man in person.
The fauna of the area includes reindeers, red squirrels and numerous birds. The Ylläs area has numerous activities in the wintertime. Winter season is from late October to April:
Cross-country skiing over 300 km maintained cross-country skiing trails. Alpine skiing: 60 pistes and 30 lifts.
Snowmobiles, reindeer farms and sleigh rides, husky farms and rides, ice fishing etc. In the summertime the midnight sun shines practically all summer long with pleasantly warm weather.
Trekking, fishing, mountain biking, canoeing are just a few of the activities available.
